WOW, What a Trip

Thursday, August 18th, 2005

Man, I am so far behind I still think it's July. First, thanks to Becky for reminding me I even had a blog. I honestly think I have thought about it once since returning from Sturgis. I had a surprise job this week working for one of my professors, and so my week kind of got turned topsy turvey on me.

Sturgis was great and parading on the dirt track there was also good. I didn't exactly like some of the workers attitudes toward us after the parade, but otherwise it was good. Very few Motor Maids hung around to watch the races that night. My first impression on that Monday after riding in that day in 100+ degree weather was not the greatest. There were sooooo many bikes and so many people who appartently wanted my space. It isn't wise to try to keep more than two or three bikes together in that kind of madness and most of us had not idea where the trach in Sturgis was at. However, we all managed to make it there in one piece and likewise back home again.

Me and a friend went down town Sturgis on Tuesday and had a blast just walking around for about four hours. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful and I even survived the crowd. (I'm not much of a crowd person.) I have decided that everyone needs to go to Sturgis during the Bike Rally at least once in there life. Everyone is on an even playing field. You have no idea who the doctors, lawyers, college professors, truck drivers, warehouse workers, etc. are and that is the way it should be. Everyone just out having a good time and showing off their beloved wheels.

Mount Rushmore was cool, but Crazy Horse is truly amazing. We even got to see a blast, which is something they do not do often.

Stay tuned and within the next few days I'll put up some pictures of Sturgis.

Thanks for being patient,
Dianna

My Sturgis pictures are up.
I was having bike troubles so I didn't make it to the parade. I'm glad you had fun. I didn't go into the town of Sturgis. Too many idiots.
