I've Been Trying to Update

I have tried upating all this week, but I have been having massive ISP problems. I have about decided it isn't my ISP but my network within the house. We had a run of really bad storms week last week, and ever since the weekend, my internet has not worked worth crap. I think maybe a network card or wireless hub sustained some damage during those storms. Hopefully I have a solution that will keep me up and working until I can narrow the problem down and get it fixed for good. Or at least until the next time it breaks.

Class starts on Monday and I have spent the week, along with my collegues, attempting to orientate the new Graduate Teaching Assistants so that they are prepared to go into the classroom on Monday. I remember what it was like facing classes that first day, so I can definitely sympathize with what they are going through. But they, like all of us, will survive.

I have a conference in Oct down in FL where I will be presenting a paper on the First Motor Maid constitution. I just about have the paper complete and I am excited about each new conference opportunity I have. I will be submitting a proposal for the National Pop Culture conference for next spring on Dot Robinson or maybe Linda Dugeau, or maybe both. I hope that likewise gets accepted. Any information anyone can send me about either of these wonderful women would be greatly appreciated.
